France seeks to lift sanctions on Russian oligarch Usmanov

France has joined Slovakia in demanding the removal of Alisher Usmanov from the EU sanctions list. This has caused "frustration" among other EU member states, according to Euronews. Usmanov is one of Russia's wealthiest oligarchs, sanctioned in connection with Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
