Fake general from Yemen conned woman out of over 265,000 zloty

A Białystok resident met a man on social media claiming to be a general on a mission in Yemen. After a month of contact, he began asking for money — first for a "front deposit," then insurance and other fees allegedly related to a cash shipment. The woman lost over 265,000 zloty before discovering she was victim to a scam.
