Scientists created ice at 2357°C under extreme pressure

Researchers observed a new form of ice forming under extreme pressure and temperature conditions reaching 2357°C. The paradox arises because at sufficiently high pressure, water molecules can maintain a solid crystalline structure even at temperatures that would normally cause them to evaporate instantly. The discovery sheds new light on conditions inside icy giants like Neptune and Uranus.
