Latvia needs 7 billion euros to secure eastern border with Russia and Belarus

Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs stated that over the next seven years the country will need 7 billion euros to strengthen its eastern border with Russia and Belarus, which also forms the EU's external border. The prime minister appeals to EU partners for unity in financing negotiations. This is among Latvia's largest security projects in history.
