Algeria closes airspace to UAE after cutting diplomatic ties

Algeria severed diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates and banned Emirati civilian and military aircraft from its airspace, citing "provocative and hostile actions" by the UAE. An exception applies to scheduled flights to Algiers, which remain permitted through the end of 2026.
