EU approves 6.1 billion euro for Ukraine to buy Patriot system equipment

The European Commission on Friday approved an additional 6.1 billion euro for Ukraine. The funds are to be used, among other things, to buy equipment for Patriot air defence systems. This is the next tranche of EU support for Kyiv amid the ongoing war with Russia.
