82-year-old from Chełm defrauded of 200,000 zloty: funds recovered
An 82-year-old Chełm resident received a call from someone posing as an official from the Central Bureau of Investigation. The alleged officer convinced the senior that his savings were threatened by criminals and even by his own bank. Over several days, the man transferred 200,000 zloty to accounts provided by the scammers. Police ultimately recovered the entire amount.
