EU: first IRIS2 satellites to launch in 2029

EU defense commissioner Andrius Kubilius announced that the IRIS2 satellite program is on track. The system's first satellites are scheduled for launch in 2029. IRIS2 is a European secure satellite connectivity project designed to make the EU independent of external suppliers.
