Balcony collapse in Sosnowiec: trial begins after Sylwia Stawiszyńska's death
On September 4, 2023, a balcony on the third floor of a tenement building at ul. Czystej in Sosnowiec collapsed while Sylwia Stawiszyńska (43) and her husband Robert stood on it. The woman died at the scene; the man suffered severe injuries. Three years after the tragedy, a trial has begun for people accused by investigators of negligence leading to the disaster. "Someone must take responsibility," said Robert Stawiszyński.
