Driver operated truck without license because he couldn't afford medical tests

Łomża police stopped a 56-year-old driving a Renault truck without a license at a checkpoint in Chomentów. The man lost his license in June 2025 for driving under the influence; after a year he should have undergone medical examinations to get it back. He said he couldn't afford the cost. He faces arrest, restricted liberty or a fine of 1,500 to 30,000 zloty, and a driving ban.
