Arizona loses Colorado River water as US chip production faces threat

Arizona, a hub of the US semiconductor manufacturing revival, will lose more than one quarter of its annual water intake from the Colorado River due to a new federal resource management decision. The Colorado River, over 2200 km long, is a key water source for the region and other western states. The shortages may threaten plans to expand chip factories in the state.
