Earthquakes in Canary Islands, magma under Tenerife raise eruption fears

Spain's Geographic Institute (IGN) has detected further seismic tremors near Agaete on Gran Canaria, though the island has no active volcanoes. On neighboring Tenerife, scientists have found large quantities of magma, which may indicate an approaching eruption. The exact timing of any possible eruption remains unknown.
