Wrocław Zoo paid 230,000 zloty for copyright infringement

The District Court in Wrocław ruled that the glass mosaic on the Africarium façade of Wrocław Zoo was created in violation of artist Tomasz Urbanowicz's copyright. After nearly a decade of proceedings, the zoo paid him over 230,000 zloty in damages. The case concerns the decoration of one of Wrocław's zoo's most recognizable structures.
