Amazon Prime Video uses AI to sync lips in translations
Amazon Prime Video released a version of a popular German series in which actors' lip movements were digitally altered to match translated dialogue. The technology relies on artificial intelligence and aims to make translations more natural for viewers — without visible gaps between sound and lip movement. This is one of the first large-scale uses of AI lip-syncing in streaming.
