Glapiński: NBP holds 648 tons of gold worth 344.8 billion zloty, 156 billion in unrealized gains

NBP President Adam Glapiński said that at the end of August, the central bank held 648 tons of gold valued at 344.8 billion zloty. He added that 156 billion zloty in "unrealized gains on gold" remains, but political turmoil prevents discussion about using these funds. Glapiński also noted that rising energy prices already account for half of Poland's inflation growth.
