ECB raises rates by 25 basis points: deposit rate rises to 2.5%

The European Central Bank increased three key interest rates by 25 basis points. The deposit rate will rise to 2.50%, the main refinancing rate to 2.65%, and the marginal lending rate to 2.90%. The changes take effect September 16, 2026.
