Oldest traces of psychoactive drug use found on Sulawesi

Scientists from Australia, Indonesia and the U.S. identified the oldest known examples of regular psychoactive use — traces preserved in teeth of ancient residents of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. The study was published in Science Advances. Researchers include Adam Brumm of Griffith University and Marlon N. R. Ririmasse from Indonesia's archaeological research center.
