Estonian missiles dispute: Italy says EU funding gap was the problem

Estonia's Defence Procurement Agency (RKIK) paid nearly 60 million euros to Italian company Datasel — controlled by an Indian business family — for missiles that proved defective and failed to meet quality standards. The Italian side claims the contract was terminated due to lack of European Union funding, not product defects. The case has gone to court.
