Central Bank holds interest rates: reference rate remains at 3.75 percent

The Monetary Policy Council at its meeting concluded Wednesday did not change NBP interest rates. The main reference rate remains at 3.75 percent, the deposit rate is 3.25 percent, and the lombard rate is 4.25 percent. This year the Council lowered rates only once — in early March by 0.25 percentage points. Further decisions will depend in part on commodity price movements and global inflation.
