20 states sue Trump rules weakening endangered species protection

New York prosecutors and authorities from 19 other states filed a lawsuit in federal court Wednesday against new regulations from the Trump administration. According to the plaintiffs, these rules will drastically restrict protection of endangered species, including the bald eagle. The new regulations also open the way for oil drilling and mining in previously protected areas.
