AfD reaches 45 percent support in eastern Germany: other parties far behind

According to the latest Forsa poll, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) under Alice Weidel enjoys 45 percent support in eastern German states, decisively outpacing all other parties. This is the highest result recorded by the right-wing populist party in the region.
