The US Secret Service froze $52.8 million in cryptocurrency tied to a Telegram bazaar called Xinbi, which processed $24 billion in transactions and was a tool for global fraud. The lead came from blockchain analysis by Elliptic, and the platform was hit with Treasury Department sanctions. Xinbi called the freeze unjust.
