Investigation by journalists and security researchers found that LG OLED TVs in standby mode conduct extensive network activity and may record sound via microphone. Over 500 hours of network traffic, microphone behavior and system-recorded data were analyzed. Researchers also examined what happens to data after the TV is disconnected from the internet.
