Polish central bank opposes reference rate as basis for mortgage rates

The National Bank of Poland has raised objections to a proposal to base variable mortgage rates on the central bank's reference rate. According to NBP, such a solution could generate new risks for the banking sector and complicate the conduct of monetary policy.
