Niemczyk detained in connection with Last Generation protest

Piotr Niemczyk, a prominent dissident from the PRL era, was detained on Tuesday and placed in custody over his participation in a protest by the Last Generation organization. That same day, a picket took place outside the Justice Ministry headquarters protesting his detention. Over 40 former dissidents sent a letter to Justice Minister Waldemar Żurek regarding the matter.
