OpenAI solves one of six Millennium Problems: Navier-Stokes equations

Mathematicians from OpenAI announced on 8 September that a team of 10,000 autonomous AI agents, working on a non-public model, found a "singularity" in the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations. This solved one of the six remaining Millennium Problems, posed in 2000 by the Clay Mathematics Institute, for which a one-million-dollar prize is offered.
