German man dies in Dolomites after falling 80m from via ferrata

On Tuesday at midday, a 43-year-old German fell from the Rotwand wall on the Mario Zandonella via ferrata route in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. The man plummeted over 80 meters — the fall was noticed by other climbers who heard his scream. Despite rescue efforts, the man did not survive.
