Car crashes down stairs, hits pedestrians at religious festival in Chełm

On Sunday, September 8, a car went down stairs on Góra Chełmska and struck pedestrians attending celebrations honoring the Mother of God of Chełm. The same day, the Holy See officially declared the Mother of God of Chełm Patroness of the City of Chełm, fulfilling years of efforts by residents and local authorities.
