Maryna Z. beaten to death in Ostróda: court considers murder charge

Maryna Z., a 43-year-old Ukrainian who had lived in Ostróda (Warmian-Masurian province) for nine years, died in hospital following a brutal beating. Her partner, whom she met online, is suspected as the perpetrator. The court in Elbląg is considering upgrading charges to murder. The woman worked at local meat processing plants and had planned to settle permanently in Poland.
