Piasts related to Arpad dynasty: DNA from remains in Płock cathedral

Archaeogenomic research on remains buried in Płock cathedral confirmed their belonging to the Piast dynasty and kinship between the Piasts and the Hungarian Arpad dynasty. Prof. Marek Figlerowicz explains that this method does not, however, allow determination of whether the rulers were Slavs. Among the examined remains are probably bones of Władysław Herman and Bolesław the Wrymouth, which hold unsolved genetic mysteries.
