Wild boars in Polish cities: over 15,000 reports in Warsaw by September 2026

Wild boars are increasingly entering urbanized areas across Poland, spotted in Warsaw, Gdynia, Olsztyn, Krakow and Lublin. In Warsaw, reports rose from 5,128 in 2024 to 8,809, and by September 2026 were expected to exceed 15,000. The Polish Hunting Association urges caution when encountering boars and calls on drivers to reduce speed on routes where wild animals may appear. The PZŁ also demands systemic action.
