Old ID card may be key to calculating pension benefits
The green booklet, or old ID card issued before the era of electronic databases, may contain entries confirming work history needed for ZUS to calculate a pension. Throwing away this document during cleaning could result in losing important proof of years worked. ZUS uses all documents confirming insurance periods, and the old ID is sometimes one of the few remaining records of employment from before digitization.
