Zelensky: Putin does not want to provoke Trump and needs his support

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky told Axios that Russia is trying not to provoke Trump ahead of elections, and American negotiators want to resume peace talks and avoid escalation of fighting over winter. Among considered solutions is mutual halt of attacks on energy infrastructure. Zelensky suggests that Putin is counting on maintaining good relations with the new US administration.
