Former detention facility director: films distort image of Polish prisons

Danuta Augustyniak, former director of a detention facility, spoke on the program "Miłość" about how films — including the classic "Symetria" — distort Poles' perceptions of the prison system. She recounted the story of an inmate's mother who expected a movie-like image with a "psychopathic governor". Augustyniak stressed that prison reality is inaccessible and poorly known to most of society.
