Ukrainian in Poland: I speak quietly to hide my accent

Nexta conducted a street survey in Poland examining relations between Poles and Ukrainians. A Ukrainian living in Poland said she deliberately lowers her voice in public places to conceal her foreign accent. After an initial wave of solidarity following the outbreak of war, tensions and ethnic incidents are growing in public spaces.
