Guldhøj chair: Europe's only fully preserved Bronze Age chair

In 1891, Danish archaeologists excavated the Guldhøj burial mound in southern Jutland and found a wooden folding chair with a seat of otter skin, made around 1400 BCE. The object, which lay in the grave of a chieftain buried in a hollowed oak log wrapped in cowhide, is Europe's only fully preserved chair from the Bronze Age. It is held by the National Museum of Denmark.
