Russia and North Korea open first road bridge on shared border

Russia and North Korea officially opened the first road bridge connecting the two countries — a one-kilometer crossing over the Tumen river between Khasan in Russia's Far East and Tumangang in North Korea. The bridge's construction signals closer cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang since the outbreak of war in Ukraine. The crossing runs through a remote, sparsely populated section of the border, several kilometers from the coast.
