Venetoclax may limit HIV reservoir: Emory University study in macaques
Researchers at Emory University found that venetoclax—a drug used to treat certain cancers—combined with antiretroviral therapy may more effectively eliminate HIV-infected cells. The study was conducted in macaques. It is another step toward a therapy that could reduce the viral reservoir, the main obstacle to curing HIV completely.
