Tens of thousands of notes removed from Western Wall before Rosh ha-Shanah

Before the Jewish New Year, Rosh ha-Shanah, workers cleared tens of thousands of prayer notes and requests that the faithful had placed in the crevices of the Western Wall in Jerusalem. The annual cleaning is a tradition preceding Judaism's most important holidays. The removed notes will be buried in accordance with Jewish religious law.
