AfD wins roughly 44 percent in Saxony-Anhalt, but may not be able to govern
According to exit polls for ZDF and ARD, the Alternative for Germany won approximately 44 percent of votes in elections to the Saxony-Anhalt parliament, significantly outpacing the CDU. The historic result does not guarantee AfD will seize power — no other party wants to enter a coalition with it, which may make forming a government impossible.
