Von der Leyen in Greenland with over €500m support package for island

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen began a two-day visit to Greenland to discuss Arctic security. The parties plan to sign a new EU-Greenland Joint Declaration and launch a satellite connectivity project. The EU is announcing support exceeding €500m to strengthen ties with the island.
