Astronomers capture dying star returning matter to space

Astronomers from the Dragonfly Focused Research Organization in Santa Fe recorded the moment when debris from a dying star is torn apart and drawn into surrounding gas. The phenomenon was observed in the Snail Nebula, located 650 light-years from Earth. It is one of the nearest and best-studied objects of its kind.
