SuperCDMS SNOLAB begins first dark matter search data collection

More than 2 km underground at the Canadian SNOLAB laboratory, one of the world's most sensitive dark matter detectors—SuperCDMS SNOLAB—has been activated. The instrument has just begun preliminary scientific data collection. The main research campaign will launch in 2027.
