Viking girl's grave may reveal secrets of ancient fashion

At the Skonager site in western Jutland, archaeologists are examining a cemetery discovered in 2024, dating back around 1300 years. In a girl's grave buried with two oval-shaped skålspænder clasps, fragments of woolen and linen textiles have been preserved. The find may help reconstruct how people dressed in the Viking age. The cemetery has also yielded knives and amber and glass beads.
