First brain surgery with real-time AI support succeeds

University College London conducted the world's first neurosurgical operation in which artificial intelligence supported the surgeon in real time. The AI system analyzed endoscope images and identified structures in the surgical field whose damage could cause stroke, blindness, or patient death. The brain tumor removal operation was successful.
