169-ton tunnel boring machine drive arrives in Łódź for high-speed rail

The main drive of the tunnel boring shield for the High-Speed Rail project has arrived in Łódź — it weighs 169 tons, with the total transport weighing nearly 270 tons. The shield itself is expected to arrive within a week, with tunneling planned for the first quarter of next year.
