Latvia builds Baltic Defense Line at Russian border for 12 million euros

Construction has begun on the Baltic Defense Line in the Balvi region of northeastern Latvia — a chain of fortifications along the eastern borders of the Baltic states. The project costs 12 million euros and is a response to growing threats from Russia.
