Wood pellet costs up to 2,400 zloty per ton; government cites demand and biomass shortage

Prices of certified Class A1 wood pellets rose in early September to as much as 2,400 zloty per ton. The energy and climate ministries point to growing demand, limited biomass supply, and fierce competition for sawdust, wood chips, and shavings as the main causes of the increases.
