Tesla Cybercab launches for passengers as government opens safety probe

Tesla launched the Cybercab robotaxi service for passengers, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) almost immediately opened an investigation to examine whether the autonomous vehicle meets federal safety standards. This is the first large-scale deployment of Cybercab on public roads.
