Gender pay gap narrows to 2.9% in Q1 2026

In the first quarter of 2026, the difference between median wages for women and men was 2.9%, down from 5.7% two years earlier. Experts note, however, this figure does not mean equal pay for equal work — women still more often work in lower-paying sectors and lower positions.
